Her ancestry is Carrier/Ukrainian (Beaver clan). Happily married for the last 12 years and blessed with a beautiful 9-year old daughter. Dawn’s experience consists of 10 years working within the children and family sector as she has a strong compassion for children, family and community-well being. It is her hope to assist those upcoming generations to change the cycle of abuse, neglect and social injustice. “What I bring to this position is my commitment to carry out the Kikino mandate and wishes of the Board of Directors and to ensure that children and families that require support are getting the help so that they can raise strong, healthy, successful families by understanding their strengths, values and traditional teachings”! Office Assistant

We also welcome Jolene Giroux to the Kikino team as of January 2010. Jolene brings with her a great deal of energy and excitement to be a member of our staff. She has been married to a wonderful husband for 11 years we have 3 children. Jolene has been associated with Prince George Aboriginal Head Start for a number of years being a prominent number of the Parental Advisory Committee while all her children attended. Recently as of last year her youngest child attended Head Start as well as Strong Start which lead her to doing presentations with the newest ECE teacher of Strong Start accompanying the Coordinator to various areas of the community. This is what brought her to Kikino and this position. She has also had the opportunity to be on the Development Team for the Aboriginal Choice School. Our team put forward the recommendations for the new School and very proud of the work we put into it. Jolene has the firm belief in children and hard work.
